Study Help

GROUP STUDY SESSIONS

These sessions are designed for SPSS members to get together and help each other out. Executive members who have already successfully completed the course will be present for help as well. You can buy a membership at the session for $10 if you don't have one yet!

GENERAL

Stop by our office in Arts 186 at any time during our regular office hours to speak to one of the executives about APA formatting, how to effectively communicate results, or any other questions you may have!

This will be a drop-in Q & A type of thing. SPSS executive members will be ripe and ready to help you look over weak sections of your paper, proofread, and check over formatting issues. A 6th edition APA manual will also be available at the session, should you need to consult it.

LIAISON

With a dedicated Faculty Liaison and a strong working relationship with both the Graduate Students' Association and Help Centre, the SPSS is a great point of first contact for undergraduate psychology students with questions regarding Honours requirements, application deadlines, faculty areas of specialization, funding opportunities, and additional study help.

TUTORING

The SPSS has assembled a list of available tutors below. Although we are happy to facilitate the connections between tutors and those seeking help, we are not responsible for the outcome of these sessions, payment issues, etc.

*If you think you would make a competent, organized and dependable tutor, email us at spss.info@usask.ca with the following information: Name, tutoring area, preferred method of contact, and rates. We will consider adding you to our list of tutors.
